Pauline Atkins Brown, 88, passed away on June 8, 2014. Pauline grew up as an only child on a tobacco farm in Mt. Airy, NC and was the valedictorian of her graduating class at White Plains High School. After High School, Polly went to business school where she met her husband, Bill Brown. After moving to Virginia Beach in 1959, she had a number of hobbies including fashion modeling, playing bridge and Mahjongg, and gardening. She was a member of the Virginia Beach Garden Club. Polly is preceded in death by her husband, William H. Brown and is survived by her son, Maxwell Bradley (Jenny) Brown; granddaughters, Courtney L. Brown and Lindsay D. Brown. A morning graveside family memorial service will take place at Green Lawn Cemetery, in Roswell, GA, on June 12, 2014.
