Jane was born October 29, 1943 near Centre, Alabama to Roy Smith and Nyla (Estes) Smith, the youngest of four children and the only daughter. She grew up in Rome and Marietta, Georgia, graduating from Sprayberry High School in 1961.
A graduate of Massey Business College, Jane spent most of her career as a regional secretary for Reynolds Aluminum Supply, before changing direction and becoming a legal secretary, which allowed her to have a direct impact on people’s lives. She found great satisfaction helping clients in need, and remained in that role until retirement.
Jane was married to Wayne Leonard in 1962. They had one son, Tony Leonard. Years later, Jane married Larry Noggle. Together, they traveled the country and raised a series of the most pampered dogs on Earth. During her final illness, Larry was by her side every moment.
Jane is survived by her husband, Larry Noggle, son Tony Leonard, step-children James Noggle, Jr. and Sandi Zingre, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both her parents and her brothers, Roy, Doyce, and Kenneth.
