

Perry grew up in Bremen, GA. He graduated from Bremen High School in 1950. After high school he attended the University of West Georgia in Carrollton, GA, and the University of Alabama in Montgomery, AL. After working for Lowe Engineers in Atlanta, Perry founded McClung Surveying in 1976. McClung Surveying has become one of the most recognized and largest land surveying companies in the greater Atlanta area.
Perry married Jean Willis in 1951 in Bremen, GA. They were happily married for 63 years. Perry was a member of Masons of Georgia and Georgia Seniors Golf Association. Music and dancing were a big part of Perry’s life. In the late 1970s, Perry and Jean joined a square dancing club where they met many of their lifelong friends. Perry was also an avid golfer and they traveled to and played many of the most famous golf courses worldwide. He was a lifelong supporter and fan of University of Georgia football.
Perry is survived by his wife Jean of Woodstock, GA; his daughter, Christy Chambers and her husband JJ Chambers of Destin, FL, and his son, Jeff McClung and his wife Margaret McClung of Atlanta, GA.
A funeral service will be held at Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, GA at 11:00 a.m. September 3, 2014. The family will be greeting friends and relatives at 10:00 a.m. September 3. A private family graveside service will follow the funeral at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Bremen.
