It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Robert L. DeLong Jr. at age 65 on December 27,2024. Robert left this world unexpectedly, leaving behind a life full of warmth and generosity. His quick wit, compassionate nature and smile will be deeply missed.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife and companion of 23 years, Michelle Ann Delong. Their enduring partnership was a testament to love, support and shared joy. He is also survived by his brother Rick DeLong (Marie), sister Darryl Collins (Ralph), nephews Reagan DeLong (Lydia), Tanner DeLong, and niece Kelly Carter (Brook). Robert also leaves behind a circle of friends who cherished his loyalty, humor and willingness to lend a helping hand.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. R. Luke DeLong (Louise) and Mrs. Sara Garner.
A memorial service for Robert will be held at St Barnabas Church in Dunwoody, Georgia on March 22, 2025 at 1:00pm. Family and friends are invited to share their memories. Lunch will be served at the church hall following the service.
