

His family was the love of his life. He married Linda Ann Whitaker on May 24,1965. They had four children, Neil (Meg), Chris, Tricia (Nathan) and Libby (Tim). Bob was a beloved “Grand-Bob” to ten grandchildren: Robbie, Henry, Will, Jack, James, Page, Anne Simmons, Kate, Jennings and Piper. He is also survived by his sister, Patricia Lloyd.
Bob served in the Vietnam War with the U.S. Army in 1968-69. After his military service, he joined Marion Laboratories where he spent his entire career and saw the company through tremendous growth and acquisition. He became regional director for the southeast, a position he held for fifteen years until he retired in 1995.
Throughout Bob’s career the family relocated several times, living in Kansas City, Nashville, Chicago, and Los Angeles. In 1980, Bob and Linda happily settled their family in Roswell, Georgia. They loved the community and became active members of Brookfield Country Club. Bob was an avid tennis player and golfer for many years and developed several lifelong friendships at the club.
Bob and Linda were also devoted members and volunteers at St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church. He also volunteered at North Fulton Charities and St. Vincent De Paul Society for many years.
A funeral mass will be held on February 6th at St. Peter Chanel, 11330 Woodstock Rd, at 10:30am.
