

Bob was born to the late Roland and Mary Scopa on March 27, 1941. He grew up Boston, Massachusetts. He attended Boston Latin School and graduated from Tufts University in 1962 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Bob was commissioned in the Navy and served his country as an antisubmarine weapons officer during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Bob spent many years working for IBM, receiving honorable recognitions throughout his career.
Bob is survived by his wife Christine Scopa; his children, Robin Scopa, April Scopa, Shara Scopa and Trey and Lesly Gregory; his grandchildren, Mason Hall, Thomas Kirk, and Olivia and Myles Gregory; and his brother, Ron Scopa
His wisdom, humor, generosity, kindness, cooking and love of life will be cherished by all who had the honor of sharing time with him on this Earth.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 18 at 10:30am at St Peter Chanel Church, 11330 Woodstock Road, Roswell, GA 30075.
