

She is survived by her beloved family, her husband, John W. Edelen; two sons, John Wm. Edelen (Karen Nelson) and Glenn Edelen (Shelly); a daughter, Kathleen Edelen (Koch); five grandchildren, Patrick Koch (Shannon), Christopher Koch (Emily), Rebecca Zimmermann (Kurt), Samantha Perry (Ronnie), and Shane Edelen; three great-grandchildren; children-in-law Suzette Vandewiele and Doug Koch; and sixteen nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Catherine (Kielt) and John Cronin; five sisters, Mary (Charles) Finer, Kathleen (William) Duerscheidt, Madelyn (Gus) Geisler, Eileen (Patrick) Ringwood, and Cecelia (Arthur) Berntsen; and three brothers,John Cronin, William Cronin, and James (Marie) Cronin.
A native of Irvington, NJ, Mrs. Edelen attended St Leo’s (Irvington) and Blessed Sacrament (East Orange) elementary schools, Immaculate Conception High School, and Caldwell College. She taught at St.Aloysius School (Caldwell) for many years. Upon retiring from teaching, she worked as head of payroll for Macy’s-Livingston before moving to the Atlanta area. There she was actively involved in the St Andrew’s “Over 55” club. Upon moving to The Palms in Mt Pleasant, Mrs. Edelen volunteered on the welcome committee.
Visitation will be held Friday evening, August 23, 2013 between 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. at the Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, GA 30076. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 24, 2013 in St. Andrew Catholic Church, 675 Riverside Road, Roswell, GA. Interment in Green Lawn Cemetery & Mausoleum, 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, GA.
