Washington, Il on October 31, 1913. Russell was an accountant all his working career for Amoco
Oil Co. He graduated from Bradley University in 1936. He served in the U.S. Navy during World
War II from 1944-‐1946 aboard the USS Clearfield. The Clearfield took part in many island
campaigns and was in Tokyo Bay upon signing the surrender of Japan. He was a devout Mason
and a member of the Atlanta Shrine band for many years. Russell was preceded in death by
wife of 77 years, Cecelia and his parents Alvin and Louise and brother Sherwood. He is survived
by his 2 sons and daughters-‐in-‐law, Robert and Marcia of Cumming, Ga; Jack and Royletta of
Mountaintop, Pa; as well as seven grandchildren, sixteen great grand children, and 2 great great
