

Thomas Howard Mozley (Tom), age 84, of Cumming, Georgia passed away peacefully on January 7, 2016 at Embracing Hospice in Cumming, Georgia. He was born April 14, 1931, in Austell, Georgia to the late William and Evelyn (McArthur) Mozley. He is survived by his brother, J. Arthur Mozley and wife Tammy, Atlanta, Georgia; sister, Ethel M. Schissell, Roswell, Georgia; sons, Stanley T. Mozley and wife Jacquie, Woodstock, Georgia; Mark S. Mozley and wife Lynne, Woodstock, Georgia; daughters, Anne M. Hall and husband Ron, Gainesville, Georgia; Kerri Mozley, Cumming, Georgia; and 7 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter and 5 step great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He married Nancy E. Mozley (Scott) on July 16, 1955 who preceded him in death in 2002. He was a graduate of Georgia State University and retired from Mead Corporation. He retired as Air Force Lieutenant Colonel serving 35 years in the Korean War, Vietnam War, National Guard and Reserves. Tom was an avid outdoorsman enjoying boating, fishing, collecting Western American Indian artifacts, reading, hunting and spending time with family and friends. He will be best remembered spending time with the young sharing his American Indian collection, telling stories and inviting them to join him as he pursued his interests. He influenced the young through his volunteer work in church, Junior Achievement, Boy Scouts, Brook Run Retardation Center and later with Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) North Georgia Chapter. A graveside service will be held at Green Lawn Cemetery and Mausoleum, Roswell, Georgia on February 20, 2016 at 2:00 pm. Condolences may be made online at www.roswellfuneralhome.com.
