We lost a very special man and I am saddened to know I will not hear Tim's laughter...friends since 1986, we shared some great times on the golf course, socially and professionally....My thoughts and prayers to his family and co workers...you will be fondly remembered !

I am deeply saddened by Tim's death and learning of his struggle with Pulminary Fibrosis. I remember Tim so well from high school days as the bright, spirited, athletic, handsome guy who was everybody's friend! He was quite the heart throb amongst the girls...and you would have considered yourself lucky if you ever got a chance to hit the dance floor with him! Tim exuded such confidence and a positive attitude when he was young...I have no doubt that it carried through in his later years. He was always so sweet to his Mom and was such a proud and loving brother...I admired that. He must've made a wonderful husband and an awesome dad.  I am sorry to have lost touch over the years. Wish he had been able to come to the Stratford reunion a couple of years back. We all would have loved to have seen him! I know you will all miss him dearly. Sending my love and fond memories...he was special!

I meet Tim, over 20 years ago. It began as what we referred to as "the night of the long car". It was a memorable evening. Tim and Sue remained our friends as we cruised together. I will miss him.

Tim always had a smile, a story, and a good laugh; never a dull moment! I always looked forward to his appearance in the office. I'm honored to have learned from and worked with him. My heart goes out to the family.

We were deeply saddened to hear of Sandy's brother Tim's  passing. Our deepest condolences and heartfelt prayers for the Jones family.

Friendly in all weathers, never shirked a task, excellent behavior. He will surely be missed, but Tim's not gone. He just went on ahead to save the rest of us a good table. Have a smooth flight my friend.

My heart and prayers go out to the Jones'.

Tim was man who happened to be a redneck & thrived in that role.  He had an easy & deep sense of humor and of who he was.  When us northerners  smilingly made jokes of his accent like when he said the word “own” and meant “on” he got the joke, could laugh at himself,  but relished the fact that he was a southerner through & through.  He loved, and was proud of, being a southerner just as much as he was proud of & loved his family.  He was so obvious with his love for Sue and “his boys” Wes & Bryan, and we admired that about Tim partly because in that respect we were so alike.  Maybe that's a reason we hit it off so well & so immediately.  He commented about that familiarity between us and our wives so often.  I felt a soulful connection with Tim as I'm certain he did also.  He was one of those folks that as soon as you met him you thought you had known him for years and years.   About 1995 we met in Aruba, a place we called Paradise.  We became friends so quickly that our yearly 2 weeks in Paradise soon became another 7 or 10 days in February aboard a Princess cruise ship where we all enjoyed visiting other beautiful islands and the warm weather as well as each other's company.  Whether in Aruba or cruising the Caribbean we had a lot of fun together and when we hooked up in February we picked up right where we left off in November in Aruba.  
Tim developed a passion for art work while on our cruises and if you ask Sue you might call it an addiction.  The cruise line was very happy to see the Jones' name on the passenger list every February believe me.  Tim was always comfortable speaking about his family and you could just feel the love and pride he had for them.  I remember back when his boys were much younger and Tim & Sue brought them to Aruba for a few days and at their age the boys were bored to death and couldn't wait to go home.  Now when they come they bring friends as well as a love for Aruba they learned from Tim & Sue.
One thing we remember vividly about Tim was his ability to tell LONG jokes and the ability to keep your interest and attention while doing so.  Whether it was the famously long one with the recurring line of “washy, washy, washy in new blue cheer” or his often imitated toast of “Here's to heat, not that kind that burns down shanties, but the kind…….” Use your imagination to finish it.  He had more than a few of his favorite sayings like “drunker than Cooter Brown” which we really enjoyed.  
Tim was always the first one to pick up the tab at the bar or at dinner.  He enjoyed treating people as if they were all special.  He was genuine, he was fun and funny.  He was a family man that relished that fact and thrived in his kitchen making meals for everyone to enjoy.  He hunted for conch salad on every island we visited, ate liver like it actually tasted good and enjoyed a well-made drink as much as me!  Everyone who knows Tim has to feel a heavy sadness that one of the “good ones” has left us for the everlasting.  Tim was our good friend and we will miss him dearly. Sue, Bryan & Wes I'm sure you know you guys are all in thoughts & prayers long after today.

I am in total shock! Tim and I were best "buds" at Stratford Acedemy. Always with a smile on his face and kept me laughing. My heart goes out to his wife and sons.

Tim Jones - It is hard to believe that he is gone.  I first met Tim almost 25 years ago when he called on me at Delta Air Lines.  I will never and I mean never, forget that smile, the twinkle in his eye and the sincerity that he displayed when he would shake your hand.  Tim was THE SALESMAN, he could sell ice to an Eskimo and make him pay twice the going price!  Another thing that I believe Tim was involved with, but never had any hard evidence, was the mobile phone.  He must have been involved with the invention of the device because I never saw him when he wasn't on the darn thing.  He would walk into my office and all of a sudden he would say "Excuse me, but I really need to get this one."  He loved to have a good time entertaining you as a customer and he always, and I mean always, had a story (joke) to tell.  Sometimes he would forget that he had already told it to you before but he told it with such earnest, you did not have the heart to tell him you had already heard it.  Does anyone remember the panty dropper?  I am sorry to say that it has been many years since I last saw Tim and Sue and unfortunately will not be able to attend today's service.  I already have a tear in my eye as I write this and will keep Tim and Sue ever present as I work through the day and think of him fondly in the weeks and months to come.  May God bless Tim Jones!

Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.

I am very saddened by Tim's untimely passing.  I have had the pleasure of knowing Tim professionally over the past 7 years.  He was such an upbeat, energetic, positive person to be around that it is difficult to imagine him gone.  We will miss Tim greatly.  Our prayers are with Tim's wife and family.

It is very hard for me to imagine the oil industry without Tim Jones. I learned so much from him....he always had time to help, to listen, to share ideas. I will miss Tim both personally and professionally.  I have enjoyed the time spend with Tim and Sue over the years and will always cherish the memories.  Tim lived life to the fullest which made time with him so enjoyable.

There are no words to express our sadness.   We met Tim & Sue from other wonderful people, Patsy and Kevin, at one of our early, yearly pilgrimages to Aruba.  Tim truly lived life and was such an avid reader and learner and college football enthusiast!   Devoted husband and father, he loved to tell stories and seeing Sue, Bryan and Wes on the beach enjoying life (and his stories).   We will miss him very dearly and will always remember his special toasts (does anyone know about 'fire') and the celebrations at the Lighthouse.  Could go on and on, but what a guy! I have happy memories of Tim and his family growing up at Ingleside Baptist Church and later in high school at Stratford Academy.  I can't picture him without a smile on his face!  He was a very dear person and will be greatly missed.  May God comfort and encourage you during these difficult days.

Working in the same industry for 15 years before getting the opportunity to work directly with Tim here at Mansfield over the past 6 years gave me the opportunity to learn of Tim by reputation far ahead of working together.  Only then did I learn first hand just how true that reputation for fun, smart, honest dealings that were good for all involved was when it came to doing business with Tim Jones.  Tim was all those things and so many more that made him a good man, a good friend, and a person always genuinely on the lookout for ways to improve the lives of those he worked with.  We will miss him and remember him always.

Sue, Bryan, Wes and family ....Tim loved you all very much! He was one of my very first "friends" in the industry. He was always honest, polite and professional and "his word" was better than a contract. I am very thankful God allowed me to work with him and to also call him my friend. I shall pray for you all.

Tim was the consumate proffessional. Our orgaization had the deepest respect for him both personally and professionally. He will sorely missed. Our hearts and prayers go out to the Jones' family for the loss of a wonderful person.

Tim was the best friend anyone could ever want.  I work under Time for 15 years and he was a great teacher in the oil industry.  Only God knows our heart and he had a heart of gold.
