

Valerie Jean Casey, age 76, of Canton, Georgia transitioned to her heavenly home, Monday, February 24, 2020. She was born April 29, 1943 in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of Charles and Victoria Brozuski.
She graduated Morris Catholic High School and attended Seton Hall University where she majored in education. She was the second of five children and loved caring for her siblings. Besides her nurturing and gentle spirit, she had a passion for education and working with children. She was an outstanding teacher, and she taught pre-school children for many years.
Valerie loved the Lord and her church. It was at the Catholic Single’s Group, she met the love her life, Bernie, and was united in holy matrimony. This union of 52 wonderful years was blessed with four children.
Valerie had a gift of connecting with people and she touched many lives. She had a great personality and was truly an angel on earth. Valerie considered her family her greatest accomplishment. Her favorite activities included traveling to Florida and going to the beach. She enjoyed many moments with family and friends around.
Valerie was a great wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her one of a kind spirit and gracious personality will forever be missed. Her beautiful life and her love for Jesus Christ is everlasting in the lives she touched.
Along with her parents, she in preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Joanne Brozuski.
Her life will be cherished in the lives of her devoted husband of 52 years, Bernie Casey; four children: Catherine Head (Dave), of Woodstock, Georgia, Pamela Tomeny (Kyle), of Canton, Georgia, Jeffrey Casey (Mayeve), of Houston, Texas, Sandra Hude (Steve), of Canton, Georgia; 11 grandchildren: Taylor, Sarah, Megan, Savannah, Hailey, Alleyah, Jacob, Collin, Olivia, Abagail, Sophia; siblings: Patricia Brozuski, Charles Brozuski, Michele Lazzari, Christopher Brozuski; nephews: Bruce, Charles, Jr., Gregory, Michael, Steve; nieces: Christina, Collette, Mary Ellen, Peggy, Linda, Debbie; brothers-in-law: Melvern Casey (Mary Lou), Jerry Casey (Mary Faye); sister-in-law: Cindy Brozuski; and a host of relatives and friends.
A funeral mass will take place on Friday, February 28, 2020, at 2:00 pm at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 535 Rucker Road, Alpharetta, Georgia 30004. Visitation will take place Thursday, February 27, 2020, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, Georgia 30076. Interment following the funeral mass will take place at Green Lawn Cemetery, 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, Georgia 30076. A reception to follow the interment will take place at 327 Windsong Way, Woodstock, Georgia, 30188.
