Mark was born on May 30, 1966, in Carrollton, Georgia, to William “Lovie” and Martha “Jean” McClure. He was a devoted husband to Lindsay McClure and a cherished father to his stepson, Parker Bivins, and his daughter, Vanessa McClure. Mark is also lovingly remembered by his parents, Jean and Lovie McClure; his sister, Laura (Jason) Freeman; his cherished nieces, Kiley (Khody) and Ella Kate; and his in-laws, Gary and Gail Samples. He will be deeply missed by his extended family and many friends who were touched by his kindness and generosity.
Mark began his career as a Georgia State Patrol trooper, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and community. His exemplary service led to an appointment by Governor Zell Miller and the First Lady to Executive Security, where he spent eight years ensuring the safety of the First Family. After leaving law enforcement, he transitioned to the automotive industry, embracing his entrepreneurial spirit as a wholesale buyer.
Mark lived life with open passion, embracing every moment with enthusiasm and a love for the road ahead. Whether he was cruising with the top down on his Jeep, admiring a beautifully crafted engine, or sharing his deep knowledge of cars, his love for the automotive world was undeniable. His dedication to the industry wasn’t just a career—it was a calling, one that fueled his spirit and connected him to so many who shared his passion.
The friendships he forged during his years were lifelong bonds, and he was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Beyond his love of cars, Mark was an adventurer at heart, traveling the world with his beloved wife and finding joy in every new experience. He took the greatest pride in celebrating life’s milestones with his daughter, Vanessa, cherishing every achievement and moment shared. Through it all, one thing remained constant—his unwavering support for the Dallas Cowboys. Even as they let another Super Bowl slip away, Mark never lost hope… after all, there’s always next season.
Though he is no longer here, his legacy of passion, adventure, and dedication will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Today, we don’t just remember Mark—we celebrate the incredible life he lived and the countless ways he made the world bright.
