

William Faison Tillman, 92, of Roswell, Georgia, passed away on December 6, 2025, at Northside Hospital in Cumming, Georgia. Born in Jackson, Mississippi, in 1933, he was the son of Faison D. Tillman and Belle Cardlin.
William proudly served his country in the United States Army, achieving the distinguished rank of Colonel. The discipline, leadership, and commitment he developed during his service remained defining qualities throughout his life. He went on to build an accomplished and multifaceted professional career. A highly respected radiologist, he was known for his steady professionalism, compassion for patients, and dedication to advancing diagnostic medicine. In addition to his medical work, William also earned his law degree and practiced as an attorney, bringing his analytical mind and sense of fairness to the practice of law.
Never one to stop learning, William became a skilled pilot, embracing the freedom and precision of aviation. He lived a life marked by curiosity, adventure, and a deep appreciation for the natural world. A passionate scuba diver, he earned the rank of PADI Course Director, sharing his expertise with countless students and fostering a love of underwater exploration. He had a lifelong love of animals, and his compassion for living creatures was evident in the way he cared for and connected with them. His interests in nature, exploration, and the outdoors reflected his thoughtful, inquisitive, and quietly vibrant spirit.
William was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Brenda Musgrove Tillman, with whom he shared a lifetime of devotion. He is survived by his children: William Lampkin, Thomas Tillman, Bryon Tillman, James Tillman, and Franklin Tillman, each of whom carries forward his legacy of resilience, integrity, and kindness.
A visitation and memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 14, from 3:00–5:00 p.m. at Roswell Funeral Home, where family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of his life.
