Born on September 25, 1950, in Buffalo, New York, Bill was the beloved son of the late Emil and Betty Vogel. He graduated from the University of Buffalo and went on to build a life marked by devotion—to his family, his faith, and his country.
For nearly 54 years, Bill was a loving and faithful husband to his high school sweetheart, Madeline (Ruzzene) Vogel. Together, they raised three sons: Tim Vogel, and twins Michael and Shaun Vogel. He was a proud and doting grandfather to Grace and Elijah Vogel, whose presence brought him immense joy.
Bill was a man of unwavering faith, whose deep spirituality guided him throughout his life. His love for his family was evident in everything he did. He was a source of quiet strength, warmth, and steadfast support to all who knew him.
A true patriot, Bill served his country with honor in the United States Army Reserves. He carried that same sense of duty and pride throughout his life, whether he was working in his yard, detailing his cars to perfection, or maintaining his physical fitness with discipline and dedication.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and his son Michael. In addition to his wife and two sons, he is also survived by his sister, Kathy Stock, and her husband Frank, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
A memorial service to celebrate Bill’s life will be held at Roswell Funeral Home on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.
In honoring Bill’s memory, may we all be reminded of the power of faith, the strength of love, and the quiet legacy of a life well-lived.
