Wilma was born to the late Burnetta McAlpin Lutz and Howard Luther Long on June 22, 1934, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Devout in her faith, she spread the gospel of the Lord as a Sunday school teacher and Bible Study Leader. She was a devoted member of the Roswell United Methodist Church since 1974.
Talented in every way, Wilma was a cooking champion, baking icon, crossword puzzle expert, and a bear-making machine, not to mention an avid collector of tea pots.
Truly a superwoman that could conquer it all. She overflowed with love that could be felt by all that had the honor to know her. The best mom her 4 daughters could have hoped for; the most amazing wife to her husband, Joseph B. Miller up until his passing in 2020. Donned the grandmother extraordinaire, she enjoyed creating memories that could be cherished forever. Wilma was also the friend that would lend an ear, hug, or advice to those in need. She was indeed a precious gem and will be missed in the many lives she touched.
Greeting her in heaven is her loving and doted upon husband, Joseph; her parents, Burnetta and Howard; sister, Jill Courtney; and darling daughter, Sandra Noel.
Left to cherish her memory are daughters: Chris M. Thomason, Amy J. Miller, and Patty M. Ivey; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Jacqueline Shanteau, and extended family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022, at 1:00PM with a funeral Service to follow at 2:00 PM at Roswell Funeral Home.
