A service celebrating Zeta’s life will be held at 3:00 PM. on January 8, 2016 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church – 10250 Haynes Bridge Road, Johns Creek, GA 30022. Deryck Durston of Prince Of Peace will be officiating. Zeta will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, Roy Lewis, at Dovecot Memorial Park in Jamaica, West Indies following a funeral service at The Church Of Transfiguration. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Roswell Funeral Home in Georgia and Romans Funeral Home in Jamaica.
Zeta was born on August 18, 1924 and served passionately as a Registered Nurse in Jamaica and the United States. Service became a hallmark of Zeta and would transcend all that she did in her church, family and community. Her kindness and concern for others came through in all that she did.
Zeta was married to Roy Rexford Lewis (deceased) on February 12, 1955; they were married 41 years and had four children. Zeta was an avid world traveler and visited exotic countries with her family and her church. She especially enjoyed visiting Penang, Malaysia, Alaska and the Holy Land. Her love for travel and being out and about earned her the nickname “Ever Ready Battery” as she was always ready to go on an adventure where she could see and experience new things.
Zeta is survived by her children and their spouses: Ann & Lucy Lewis, Helen & Victor Watt, Richard & Denise Lewis and Curt & Shoshanna Lewis. Grandchildren: Britney, Meghan, Lianne, Dimitrius and Sebastian. Sister – Minna McLeod, several nieces and nephews along with other family and friends.
Zeta is preceded in death by her siblings Louis, Tathlin (Vie), Lily, Ina, Herbert (Bertie) and Stephen (George).
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. Zeta was also a strong supporter of North Fulton Community Charities and we will accept non-perishable food donations or monetary donations on behalf of them.
