She is survived by her 5 children - Florencio Gomez Jr., Mario Gomez, Marissa Rodriguez, Eduardo Gomez and Elizabeth Sochacki, as well as 11 of her 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Aurora was born on April 4, 1919 in Quezon City in the Philippines - a nation focused on family and religion.
In 1980, along with her husband Dr. Florencio Gomez, Aurora moved to the United States to join her children. She was thoroughly devoted to her Catholic Faith, her husband, her children, her grandchildren , great grandchildren, the Philippine culture and her many friends.
Aurora regularly attended mass at St. Peter Chanel and St. John of God Catholic Churches where she was a major contributor.
There was only one Aurora - one mother who loved us all unconditionally. She taught us that family should always love, care and forgive, regardless of differences because the most important thing in this life is to remain a family. The void she leaves behind will never be filled, but her love and legacy will continue to grow for generations.
Services will be held this Saturday, February 7 at 12:30 PM at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in Rowland Heights.
