

John was born on March 16, 1920 in Aguascalientes, Mexico to his parents, Lorenzo and Cruz Aguilera. He served in the United States Army during World War II as a Technical Sergeant in the Signal Core.
On October 4, 1942 he married the love of his life, Rufina Dominguez, and they had two children, John and Nancy Aguilera.
John was a Dodger baseball fan, a prolific model builder of WWII aircraft, and enjoyed creating wood carvings. He was a talented artist, and an avid reader of classic literature.
John is survived by his children, John and Nancy Aguilera, daughter-in-law Linda Aguilera, and six grandchildren (Jon Aguilera, Alisha Aguilera, Brianna Aguilera, Ashley Aguilera, Brandon Aguilera, and Anthony Aguilera), and three great grandchildren (Robert Aguilera, Michelle Aguilera, and Destiny Aguilera). He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rufina Aguilera.
A rosary/viewing will take place on April 29, 2015 at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleum in Rowland Heights, CA. A funeral Mass and burial will take place on April 30, 2015 at Queen oh Heaven, followed by a reception to celebrate the life of John H. Aguilera.
