Born to Adolfo Lopez and Maria Haro on February 26, 1928 in Jackson, California and passed away on October 5, 2011 in Sacramento, California. Preceded in death by his cherished wife of 63 years, Margaret Ann. Devoted father of Linda (John, deceased) Troxel, late Alfred (Karen) Lopez Jr. - Col., U.S. Army, Ret. of Sacramento, Manuel (Ann) Lopez of Folsom, Patty (Gary, deceased) Vassilopoulos of Sacramento and Sylvia (Jeff) Linn of Sacramento.
Loving brother to Jessie Aranda, Manuel Lopez, Elisa Romandia, the late Pete (Gloria) Haro, and Amelia (Bud, deceased) Decker. Brother-in-law to Henry Vargas, deceased and Cleve and Rose Cushing.
Alfred is survived and loved by 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and one great great-granddaughter as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. A devoted parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church. He was a local business owner and truck driver for more than 40 years. A member of the local teamsters, the Comite Mexicano De Beneficiencia # 3 Club of Woodland and Washington Outboard Club. Visitation on Tuesday, October 11 starting at 4 PM with a recitation of the Rosary at 7 PM at Harry A. Nauman & Son, 4041 Freeport Blvd., Sacramento. Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, October 12 at 10 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 3263 First Avenue. Interment at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery to follow.
