Andrew Thomas Murphey

Andrew attended elementary school in Sacramento followed by Jesuit High School. After graduating from the University of California, San Diego with a degree in economics, he worked at UBS Investment Bank in La Jolla while acquiring financial certifications.

Andrew had a sunny, sociable nature and many friends. He enjoyed sports including baseball, basketball, football, track, and tennis, lifting weights, and outdoor activities including camping and hiking. Special moments with family and relatives included climbing Half Dome, fishing in Alaska, and competing in the Eppie’s triathlon with family and relatives. Andrew also achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. In recent years he became a certified personal trainer and nutritionist, and enjoyed occasional volunteer work with Carmichael Kiwanis.

From an early age Andrew had a smile on his face and enjoyed helping out wherever needed. He is missed immeasurably.

A funeral mass and reception will be held on Saturday, September 28 at 11:00 AM at St. Ignatius Church: 3235 Arden Way in Sacramento.
