

Arnold Rey passed away peacefully on the morning of Saturday August 13th while at home. Arnold was born in Sacramento February 15, 1927. He graduated from Sacramento HS and promptly enlisted in the USNR where he served until his honorable discharge in 1958. Arnold and Maria Teresa Llano married in 1953. They established their home in North Highlands, became founding members of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and established life time friendships among whose families they raised their three children, Niltza Mayers, Arnold (Corky) M. Rey, MD, and Denny Rey. Arnold enjoyed a career of 44 yrs. at McClellan AFB where he worked and traveled internationally pursuing his passion as an Aircraft Maintenance Foreman. Funeral services will be held at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Tuesday August 23rd at 10:30 am with lunch to follow. Arnold is survived by his precious sister Yolanda Rey Llano, his children, Granddaughters and eight great-grandchildren. He also leaves a heartfull of beautiful nieces and nephews. We his children would like to extend our appreciation and gratitude to all the wait staff, bakers and cooks who served our dad, and other seniors of this community, the delicious donuts, hearty meals and welcoming smiles that are so important to them.
