Carol Lundberg Drummond

Carol Lundberg Drummond, age 61, passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 23, 2023 in Sacramento, CA. She was born September 2, 1962 in Stuttgart, Germany. Her parents are Gary B. Lundberg and Joy Saunders Lundberg. She married Kim Drummond on August 18, 1989 in the Provo LDS Temple. Kim passed away September 17, 2003.

She is survived by her parents and siblings, Michael Lundberg (Hyun), Lynda Bruhns (George, deceased), John Lundberg (Renee), and Paul Lundberg (Natalie). She loved them dearly. They always looked after her with tender, loving care. She was especially close to her sister throughout her life.

Carol had a challenging life since she was born with mental disabilities. She suffered a tragic accident four years ago that left her wheelchair bound. She bore her disabilities with patience and, for the most part, a pleasant attitude. She had a fun personality and loved to joke around with anyone she was with. She was witty and entertaining.

The last four years of her life she had round-the-clock care. Her caregivers were remarkable. They loved her and she loved them. Her family is very grateful for all the loving care they gave to Carol. They especially express deep gratitude to Alan Leatherby who has looked after her and shown great love for many years. Alan and his wife were dear friends.

A few years ago she joined the Catholic Church, where she attended mass regularly. She had wonderful friends there. They too were remarkable, as were her ministering brothers and sisters in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Carol had a deep and abiding love of our Savior, Jesus Christ. She spoke of Him often.

Her funeral service was held on Friday, October 27, 2023 at the Cathedral in Sacramento. Her father and siblings were in attendance. Her mother was too ill to travel. Thanks to technology she watched from home in Provo, UT.

Carol will be interred in the Provo City Cemetery. She will be deeply missed by her family and many others. Now on she goes to entertain the angels.
