After her dad died, she finished high school then moved to Washington DC with her sister Audrie. Later she moved from DC to Long Beach where she met and married Kenneth Markus on June 1, 1951. She later moved back to the East coast and had four little ones Earl, Becky Zadro, Gilbert, and Willie. In 1965 she moved across country again to Ukiah, Ca. and then to West Sacramento, where she lived for 52 years. The last few years she spent with her loving daughter in Huntington Beach.
She had 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, who loved to eat ice cream sandwiches and doing crafts with her. However that doesn’t count all the kids who called her mom or grandma or just wanted to stop and visit her. She passed leaving a big hole in lots of lives.
