

Curt was raised on his family's farm in the Sacramento Delta where his grandfather had settled after emigrating from the Azores, Portugal, in the 1800's. Curt in turn built his home and raised his own family there, where he still lived.
Curt attended local schools and graduated from CK McClatchy High School. He was an Army veteran. Curt was an electrician, having been taught his trade while serving in the Army during the Vietnam conflict.
Curt's parents were Manuel and Goldie Damion. He is survived by his wife of 51 years Barbara, by beloved children Mark Damion (Jennifer), Christine Damion, and Angela Damion Lopez (Joseph), and beloved grandchildren Hailey and Lily Damion and Henry, Daniel, and Evelyn Lopez. He is also survived by brother Arlin Damion and was predeceased by sister Juanita Jones.
Curt was devoted to his family and loved them and being with them, both immediate and extended in laws, nieces and nephews. He was a loving and caring husband to his wife.
Curt was active his entire life, an expert in fixing what needed to be fixed and modifying to his liking. Generous of his time and talents, he was always willing to lend a hand to family, friends, and neighbors.
Curt will be remembered as a kind, warm and loyal friend, with friendships dating back to young adulthood at work (Sacramento Army Depot) and to childhood in the Delta.
Curt's visitation will take place at Harry A. Nauman and Son Funeral Home on December 18, 2025, 11 a.m. Chapel service will take place at 11 a.m., December 19, 2025 at Harry A. Nauman and Son Funeral Home, followed by burial service at St. Mary Cemetery, Sacramento. Lunch reception at 2 p.m. will follow at Harry A. Nauman and Son Funeral Home to remember Curt's life.
