Earl Eugene Dempsey was born in the same year as the 49ers, America's team, 1946. That basically made him destined for greatness. He loved Jeopardy and trivia, filling his head with the wonderful knowledge that made both friends and strangers alike love him with a single conversation. He loved his soulmate Denise, high school sweethearts who knew each other since elementary school. A love that literally lasted a lifetime. In the last eight years he became an amazing Baha to his Grandson and an expert in Legos and patience.
He is not only survived by his immediate family but by his sisters Kathy Garvin (Rick), Judy Dempsey, and Tracy Carter (Craig). Also remembered by brother-in-Law Ken Strong, Sister-in-Law Julie Strong and a countless number of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, family, and friends that he held so close to his heart. We also can't forget Josie, his four- legged walking buddy, who would follow him anywhere.
His gift to this world was his charisma and the innate ability to connect with anyone he came to know. A man, that related to, and appreciated, everyone. A great husband, father, and grandfather, Earl Dempsey left his mark on this earth. We love you Pop! A Celebration of life has been postponed until the Spring when we can meet under blue skies and warm weather.
If you would like to honor Earl donations would be appreciated to either Labs 2 Love Rescue P.O. Box 232, Lincoln Ca. 95648-0232 or Front Street Animal Shelter, Sacramento.
