Age 78, of Sacramento, CA and Waikoloa, HI
Eufemio “Fem” Cariaga Jr., a devoted partner, proud father, and grandfather to five grandchildren affectionately known as “Pops,” passed away peacefully on June 24, 2025, at the age of 78, surrounded by love.
Fem divided his time between Sacramento, California, and Waikoloa, Hawaii—two places that brought him comfort, happiness, and lasting friendships. His life with Margie Crandell was one of adventure and love, filled with shared experiences and deep connection. A passionate sports dad when his sons were young, Fem was deeply involved in their athletic pursuits and remained a lifelong sports enthusiast. He treasured his collection of baseball cards and sports memorabilia, finding joy in the stories and memories they held. Whether watching a game, enjoying a sunset, or spending time with loved ones, Fem’s presence was felt in every moment.
He is survived by his partner, Margie Crandell; sons, Patrick and Brendan Cariaga; brother, Rudy Cariaga; and grandchildren, Griffin, Lochlan, Bowen, Theo, and Romy Cariaga.
In honor of Fem’s lifelong love for animals, especially golden retrievers, donations may be made to Homeward Bound Golden Retriever Rescue and Sanctuary at https://homewardboundgoldens.org/how-to-help/donate/.
A private family gathering will be held to celebrate his life.
