Born on December 28, 1929 in Yahualica, Jalisco, Mexico to parents Felicitas Sandoval and Lazaro Gomez, our beloved mother, Inocencia Mejia passed away peacefully on January 16, 2026 at the age of 96. Inocencia spent her early years in Yahualica where she met and married Baudelio Nungaray Mejia in 1947.
She was a proud mother, grandmother and great grandmother who always made you feel you were the most loved child. She was our constant source of comfort, humor, and unconditional love. Nana was happiest surrounded by family. Her favorite things were: cheeseburgers, burritos, macaroni and cheese, and Julio Iglesias.
She is survived by her children, Soledad (Peter), Dora, Liza (Paul) and David; seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband.
