Janice Mae Masotti Villamor

May 9, 1945 - May 20, 2015

Passed away in Sacramento at the age of 70. Janice was born May 9, 1945 in San Francisco, Calif., to John Neal and Gloria Masotti. She grew up in Alturas and Adin, and later moved to Sacramento where she worked at DMV headquarters as a motor vehicle registration specialist for 32 years until retirement. She loved music, animals, the theater and sports, especially her beloved San Francisco 49ers and Giants, and Sacramento Kings. Janice cared deeply about her friends and family, and was passionate about helping others see the good in themselves. She loved people, and befriended others without judgment. Preceded in death by her father, Neal, she is survived by her son Michael, his wife Kathy and grandson, Grayson; her mother, Gloria Masotti, brothers Richard and David (Susanne); sisters Bonnie (Peter) and Linda (Sue); former spouse, Mario; her Auntie Jo and cousin Theresa (Dale); nieces Leanne and Heather (Dan); nephew Jonathan (Amy); great aunt to Jameson, Gianna and Audrie, and a dear friend to many. A Celebration of Life will be held in Janice's honor at Nicoletti Funeral Home Chapel, 5401 Folsom Blvd., in Sacramento, June 13 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to your favorite charity.
