born March 23, 1958 and passed April 1, 2025.
Jeff is deeply mourned by his wife Joyce and son Ryan (Jess) and grandchildren Tony and Christine, brother Terry (Lori), sisters-in-law Lynda and Kathleen (Mike), nephews, Brian (Kaylin), Eric (Lauren), Jack (Caroline) and Nick (Nancy), nieces Cara (Cole), Anna, Ellie (Kyle), Connie and Stephanie (Steven), and many great-nieces and nephews. Jeff was preceded in death by his father Wilfred "Bill" Street, mother Patricia Smith, brothers Bob (Lynda) and Eric "Ricky" Street.
Toward the end of his life, he expressed gratitude for the life he lived and contributed to this memorial, including his choice of photo.
Jeff was grateful for being born into a wonderful family, being the youngest of 4 boys, and for having had such great parents and brothers. He felt very fortunate to have met the love of his life, Joyce and her son Ryan in the early 1990's. He was happy to have Ryan's wife Jess and grandchildren Tony and Christine in his life. He loved them dearly.
Jeff enjoyed his rich experiences with the River Park Little league as a young player and then years of coaching as Ryan progressed through the league. He cherished time he shared with his brother Bob, together coaching Bob's son Nick and his teammates.
He spent notable time during his high school years at the Campus Cue Pool Hall where he met some of his best friends, Phil, David, Bart and Greg and only regrets not staying in touch with them more over the years. His career as retail clerk, started with six years at Van's Market, then moving to Raley's for the next 27 years. He was "lucky enough" to retire at age 51, allowing him the freedom to do more of everything he enjoyed.
Jeff wrote the book on being fun loving, thoughtful and always giving it to you straight. He was one of the world's best storytellers and had a keen sense of humor. He was always industrious, thinking ahead about the next home or garden betterment project, travel plans, concert or theater plans, meal he'd cook, next Niner or Giants game to watch, all the while enjoying the simple things in the moment and looking forward to the next adventure.
His life was extended by nearly 2 years after receiving a stem cell transplant at Stanford Hospital to combat leukemia. He made the most of his time in remission, taking many short trips with Joyce to the coast, wine country and mountains, finding ways to live within needed medical precautions. As he regained most of his health his leukemia sadly relapsed, eventually drawing an end to a courageous battle with this aggressive disease. He will be missed by so many. We are all lucky to have had our lives touched by this wise, kind hearted, hilarious soul.
Honoring Jeff's wishes, the family will hold a private service at sea on the Monterey Bay, an area off the California coast he so loved.
