"Jonas the Great" worked with his hands for more than 80 years, and finally took a day off on Labor Day. In his youth he was a farm worker. In his later years he was a do-it-all handy man. "The lazy man works twice as hard" and "the job will tell you what to do" were two of his most uttered phrases. Above all that he built and created, was the foundation of family and love he left behind for us to build on. His strong and willful spirit instilled something in us; his work ethic inspires us. He loved each of us unconditionally for who we are, just as we loved him for who he was and had been. For through his experience, we have all learned, and that experience and that love will continue as our clan grows. You taught us well, old coyote. You experienced life. You fought hard to the end and you accomplished everything you were meant to on this transitory earth. Your spirit is free now and we trust by God's promise, in the presence of Christ—until we meet again.
Preceded in death by his wife, Angela. Survived by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren: Diane (Francisco), Pamela, Angela (Tim), Matthew, Anthony (Tallè), Mark, Erik (Sonia), Noah, Rebecca, Hannah (Aaron), Jonas, Juliana, Samuel, Elena and Abigail.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 11am at Harry A. Nauman & Son Funeral Home, 4041 Freeport Blvd. Sac., Ca 95822.
