Julian is survived by his beloved wife, Catherine, of 45 years. His loving children, Elizabeth (Felix) of Glendale; Vincent (Rebecca) of Alameda; Juan of Los Angeles; Ramon (Astrid) of Los Angeles; Benjamin (Lizeth) of Sacramento; Rachael (Mike) of Sacramento. His adoring grandchildren, Diego, Sofia, and Lucia of Glendale; Isaac, Paloma, Jackson, and James of Alameda; Isabel, Leonor, and Juliana of Los Angeles.
Born in the 1930s, Julian's knowledge and rounded skill set were reflective of the era from which he was raised. He was creative, undaunted by challenges, and would find solutions to the most difficult problems. Early life for Julian was not easy, but he persevered.
An engineer, Julian was also an accomplished athlete, an avid runner, devoted golfer, gardener, businessman, home renovator, to name a few.
He was passionate about his community, his friends, the environment, nature, history, learning other cultures and customs, politics, and helping those less fortunate.
Most of all, he loved his family and lived life to the fullest. His presence and impact on others was larger than life. He will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved him.
A memorial service is scheduled for 3:00, Saturday, July 12, at Nicoletti, Culjis & Herberger Funeral Home. A celebration will follow in his beloved garden. Friends and family are welcome to attend.
