Dearest Grandpa,

We will always remember you for your kindness, diligence, and optimism. From your hearty appetite at our family dinners to playing tennis well into your 90s, your love for life showed us the beauty of a joyful, healthy spirit. You reminded us to cherish every moment and to keep moving forward with resilience and grace. 

You were always so detail-oriented and attentive, Grandpa. Whether caring for your car, keeping the house clean, or handling the smallest of tasks with care, you showed us the value of respect and dedication for the things we have. Your thoughtfulness and care set an example for all of us and inspire us to live with the same appreciation and attentiveness.

Your stories of living in China through turbulent times opened our eyes to a history filled with courage and strength. Thank you for sharing your experiences and for teaching us about perseverance and hope. You shaped our family in ways that will always live on, leaving us a legacy of gratitude and laughter.

We will carry you in our hearts forever, Grandpa. May you reunite with your sweetheart, Grandma, and find happiness, tennis, and all the sweet treats you desire in heaven.

我們會永遠記住您的善良、勤奮和樂觀。您對生活的熱愛，回想每次到我們家中晚飯的時後，你都非常享受美食，湯水和甜品。在九十多歲的高齡依然堅持打網球，展示了你對生活的美好充滿喜悅和健康。您教導我們珍惜每一個瞬間，並在生活中充滿韌性和從容前行。

爺爺，您一直是個細緻入微、事事關心的人。無論是悉心保養您的車子，打理整潔的家，還是一絲不苟地完成每一件小事，您都向我們展示了對生活和物品的尊重和投入。您的體貼和關懷樹立了榜樣，激勵我們帶著同樣的感恩和專注生活下去。

This chapter of Psalm 23  from the Bible was hanged in our home in HK , written in nice Chinese calligraphy, a wedding gift from Dad’s cousin . It has been an inspiration for us and blessing for my parents . When they moved to California, this Pslam 23 was displayed in their home in Sacramneto.

My Dad was a quiet person . He was very disciplined and organized, he kept his house super clean and organized even we had domestic helpers . He lived a healthy lifestyle by eating healthy , exercised regularly and he fitted into the same clothes for years . He was into track and field & gymnastics in college and played tennis later in life . He drove his own car and played tennis until age 93 . He was the legend of the town ! Dad was in a loving relationship with Mom for 58 years until Mom passed away as 88 . He set examples for us to be perseverance and courageous. During unfavorable situations, Dad went to Chicago and New York to finish his pedodonist  training so that he was the first pediatric dentist in Hong Kong . 
He had been a loving father to us . We never lack anything under his care and support. He spent many weekends to take us to hiking , swimming, fishing , played basketball, picnic etc . Dad helped me to draw my first watercolor painting. Besides helping mom to take care of us when we were babies , he helped us to take care of our own babies as well ! 
Dad is my hero , someone I look up to all my life . He is the amazing father , husband and friend to others . I look forward to meet Dad again one day in heaven !

So sad to hear of the passing of dear Uncle number 2. I have many fond memories of playing with my cousins at their home when we were little. Uncle was always welcoming, kind and gentle. I remember the first time when I was about to lose a baby front tooth, I was really scared and wouldn’t let anyone touch it. Uncle asked me to smile, then told me that the tooth was covered with a little blood, making me less pretty when I smiled. He asked if he could just wipe the blood off for me. I opened my mouth and let him do it, and before I knew it, the tooth was gone! I didn’t feel any pain at all, and I thought he was so very smart! As I grew older, I admired his  commitment and dedication to his profession and family, and his discipline in keeping fit. He excelled in tennis. Since our two families migrated to different  countries, I have not had an opportunity to see him again in person, which I truely regret. Rest in peace, Uncle. Hope you’re catching up with Aunty, my parents and the rest of the families up in heaven. And to my cousins, my sincerest condolences. Will be thinking of and praying for you and your families in this sad time. Please take care.

Grandpa,
I am thankful for everything you do. I am thankful for you for sharing your childhood stories on how you grew up in Fijian with your family. Thank you to you and Grandma for picking me up from school when my parents couldn't pick me up. When I was stuck at summer camp, you and Grandma sent some mail with some goodies to me and Casey individually. 
When I was in barber college, I was not a good barber instantly. Thank you for allowing me to cut your hair when I was not good. Thank you for your encouragement. 
I will always miss you and love you. Sometimes when I have bad days, I will always think about you living through hard times in life. It makes me appreciate a lot of things in life

Dear David, Dianna and Ian  - our thoughts are with you all! Your dad was a very lucky man to be blessed with such a wonderful family that took such good care of him. I will always remember him as my Tennis Playing Uncle! I can’t believe he was still playing into his 90’s. It was wonderful to see him again in 2011, after so many years. We will be thinking of you all. Love Bonnie and family, in Sydney.

Uncle was a very blessed man. He lived a good, long, fulfilled life, had a wonderful marriage to Aunty and was loved by his family and friends. Uncle’s long career in paediatric dentistry helped many people. Although I had not spent that much time with uncle (with being in a different country most of my life) I was always struck by Uncle’s gentleness and kindness - he was such a gentleman. I often received photos of Uncle from Dianna and rejoiced that he enjoyed life, was active even in his old age and was always surrounded by his loving family. 
We mourn with you (our American cousins) at this time but know that he is with Aunty and God right now. We live in hope that we will see Uncle again. May God comfort you all at this sad time.

I am your great niece, Adelina Wei Kwan Wong, also  your patient when I was young.  I remembered your gentle hands to shake loose my baby teeth.  It did not pain me in any way.  I liked to visit your office  for there was ice cream  after the treatment.    I will always remember your  gentle loving spirit behind the skillful hands.

Daddy , you are always there to inspire me and give me support. When I was having my knee surgery last year . You told me “ Do not be afraid because God is with you ! “ 
I love you Daddy and you are seeing mom in heaven now .
