Katherine Helena Rodgers

May 30, 1926 – March 24, 2011. Susie passed peacefully from this earth surrounded by her loving family to reunite with her only child John Jr. and her twin brother, Sam. She is survived by four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and her nieces and nephews. Susie was born and raised in the Sacramento area. After graduating from Sacramento High School, she married John Rodgers Sr. and had one son. She worked and retired from The Signal Depot. Following retirement, she enjoyed participating in The Mexican American Hall activities, bowling, traveling and most of all, frequent trips with friends to Reno. She also took great pride in her real estate properties. We would like to thank her special caregiver, Barbara Campbell for the kindness and care she provided during this past year. Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing on March 31, 2011 from 4 – 7pm and services at 10am on April 1, 2011 at Harry A. Nauman & Son Land Park Funeral Chapel, 4041 Freeport Blvd. Sacramento, Ca. Interment immediately following at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
