

Kathleen McDougall passed away August 26, 2012 after a brief illness. Born in Oakland to Archibald and Kay McDougall on February 28, 1934, she attended C.K. McClatchy and St. Francis High Schools and went on to San Jose State joining Kappa Alpha Theta sorority.
Preceded in death by her parents and her sister Mary Ann McDougall Olsen, Kathleen is survived by her beloved nieces and nephews: Kathleen Tavernier of Homewood, CA, Stephanie (Paul) Cripe of Gold River, Drew (Sue) Olsen of Fair Oaks, Alexander (Heather) Olsen of Ventura, and great-nephew Paul (Elise) Cripe of Ventura, and great-niece Kristen Cripe of Gold River.
Kathleen was a life long member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Over the years she was an enthusiastic supporter of the Sacramento Symphony and the Junior League of Sacramento. She enjoyed watching golf, listening to the fishing reports on the radio and had a marvelous sense of humor. Her kindness, generosity, gentle spirit, and love of family will be greatly missed. God will surely welcome her with open arms.
Friends and family are welcome to celebrate Kathleen's life on Friday, September 14 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Church, 3159 Land Park Drive, Sacramento. In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made to Holy Spirit Church or a charity of your choice .
