NAE (KAE TSANG) SAETERN, age 61, caring and loving dad of four, most awesome and coolest “Ong” to his three grandsons, and adoring and devoting husband to wife, Liew Sin Saechao, passed away on June 8, 2022, with his wife by his side while playing soccer, a sport he loved. Nae was born in Luang Namtha, Laos on December 12, 1960, to parents, Veun Tsang Saetern and Nai Hor Saetern. Nae was the eldest of five children.
In 1980, Nae and his family resettled in the U.S. as refugees. In 1982, he met his wife, and they married later that year. Together they had four children, one son, James, and three daughters, Sherry, Phyllis, and Judy. Nae was also a doting granddad to three grandsons, Giovanni, Nathan, and Xavier. He made sure that his children and grandchildren focused on school and always gave and did their best. He leaves behind a legacy of memories, gift of time, knowledge and wisdom, and of character and faith.
Nae was a child of God and dedicated his life to serving God. He was a deacon at Paul Seng Ministry where he was the first point of contact and liaison for all church matters. There he spent countless hours whether it was during service or after-hours doing God's work and tending to his garden. He was a firm believer in God and loved his congregation dearly.
Nae is survived by his wife of 40 years, son, three daughters, and three grandsons. He also leaves behind his three younger brothers, Ou, Lou, and Sy, and one sister, Nai, and an entire church community.
