

Phyllis was in the first graduating class of C.K. McClatchy High School, Sacramento in 1941. After graduation, she enlisted in the Navy during WWII and served at Treasure Island performing medical tasks. After WWII she met and married husband, Leo Goldsmith on June 3,1950. They had 2 daughters, Susan and Shelley. Phyllis loved to play bridge, travel and sew. She had a dramatic flair which made life interesting for her family. Phyllis cherished the trips she took with Leo.
Phyllis is survived by sisters Antoinette Dahl, Vera Buffington, Susan Pibbs and Margie (Rees) Lee. children, Susan (Earl) Vejby, Michelle "Shelley" Goldsmith (Allen Hughes), Granddaughter Holly Hughes, numerous nephews and nieces.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, husband Leo, siblings Joseph Tarango, Mary Cline, Josephine Tarango, Jay Tarango, Ray Tarango, Joseph Tarango, nephew Greg Pibbs and niece Kristina Dahl.

A memorial mass will be held on Monday, March 3 at 1:00pm at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 7101 Verner Ave in Sacramento.
