Robert Allan Wendt passed away February 27, 2017 in Sacramento, California. Born on March 17, 1930 in Los Angeles to Ezra and Marie Wendt, he spent his early years in Apple Valley, California. He served in the United States Army, graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and had a 31-year career in California state service. In retirement he loved gardening and spending time with his family and was always a farmer at heart. Robert is survived by his wife of 48 years, Gaylene; daughter Rebecca and partner Joseph; son Scott and wife Amira; and grandson Quinn. Preceded in death by his parents and sister, Elizabeth Walton.
Graveside services will be on Monday, March 6, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacramento Valley Veterans National Cemetery in Dixon, California.
