Robert Withrow

March 22, 1927 – December 30, 2015

Bob passed away peacefully after a brief battle with cancer. He was born in Long Beach, CA. He lived in Reno, NV attending high school at Reno High School and then moved to Hayward, CA where he graduated in 1945. Right after high school Bob enlisted into the Navy.

He married Line Bourassa in 1960 and had 2 sons, Marc and Gregg. Bob was a Quality Assurance Manager for Itek Corporation and retired from Northrup Grumman in 1998. Bob and Line retired to Sacramento, CA in 1999. They quickly made friends with many wonderful neighbors.

Bob is survived by his sons Marc (Debra) and Gregg, granddaughters Leah and Jessica Withrow, Amber Ruiz, grandson Michael Withrow, great grandchildren Nikolas and Lexi Ruiz all of Gardnerville, NV, dear friend Suzie Dettner of Applegate, CA and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Gille and Bibiane Bourassa and two nieces Josee and Sophie Bourassa all of Quebec, Canada. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, wife Line Withrow and sister Dorothy Byington.

Bob was a friend to many and kept in close contact with them whether they lived far or near. He will be dearly missed.

Services will be held at Nicoletti, Culjis & Herberger Funeral Home, 5401 Folsom Blvd., Sacramento, CA on January 8, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. Private interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery in Reno, NV. In lieu of flowers you may support the Special Olympics, Diabetes foundation or organization of your choice.
