Stephani Anne Wicks

Stephani was born September 30, 1956 to parents Peter J. Peterson and Merlyn J. (Ottow) Peterson (now Riggs) in San Diego, CA. Stephani graduated from Churchill County High School and then attended the University of Nevada, Reno where she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. She later went on to receive her Nurse Practitioner license in 1998. Stephani was compassionate and touched many lives of those she worked with in the Sacramento area as a Nurse Practitioner for over 40 years. Stephani really enjoyed helping others and was always a safe place for her patients. She worked at many hospitals and clinics throughout Sacramento including Heritage Oaks Hospital, The Effort, Well Space, and Sutter Medical Center. Stephani will be missed by all her friends and family. Stephani was survived by her mother and step- father Merlyn and Gerald Riggs, her sister Katherine (Kitty) Peterson-Crain, her brother-in-law Patrick Crain, her son Kyle Wicks, her daughter and son-in-law Sara and Tyler Johnson, her niece Lisa Blanton, and her grandchildren: Angelina Blanton, Calvin and Logan Johnson. Stephani was preceded in death by her father Pete Peterson and sister Theresa (Teri) Blanton.

To commemorate her life a memorial service will be held in her honor at Maidu Community Center on June 14th, 2024 at 3:30pm.
