

Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Monday, March 9, 2015.
Daughter of the late John and Rosalie Weisser Ebnet; beloved wife of the late Philip J. Hartman; dear sister of the late Bernice (late Roy) Sauer, the late Jack (Rosemary surviving) Ebnet and Donna Mae (late Vern) Stroeing; dear mother of Mary Rich, Joseph (Pam) Hartman, Margaret (Barry) Saak, and Thomas (Ann) Hartman; loving grandmother of Amy (Chris) Montgomery, Marianne White (Joel Lewis), Christopher (Meg) Saak, Eric Saak, Andrew Saak, Jennifer (Drew) Shelton, Kenny (Darlene) Bishop and great-grandmother of nine; dear aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend to many.
Born in St. Cloud, Minnesota, Rose Marie moved with her family to St. Louis in 1952, and was an active member of Sts. John and James Church (now Blessed Teresa of Calcutta) for over 60 years, serving for several years as Sts. John and James’ Grade School’s “book lady.” Named “Best All Around Athlete” in her senior year at the College of St. Benedict in Minnesota, she played sports throughout her life, winning several gold medals for volleyball in the National Senior Olympics. She continued to participate in sports until her nineties.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 16, 2015 from 10 a.m. until time of funeral mass at 11 a.m. at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church, 120 N. Elizabeth, Ferguson, MO. Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates donations to College of St. Benedict (Rose Marie Ebnet Hartman Memorial), Institutional Advancement, 37 S. College Ave. St. Joseph, MN 56374.
