

Elra Bernard Fink, age 94, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2026, in St. Johns, Florida, surrounded by her loving family. She was called home to be with the Lord after a life marked by devotion, faith, and quiet strength.
Elra was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48 years, Edward Charles Fink, Sr.; her parents, Thaddeous Joseph Bernard and Alice Lambert Bernard; and her sister, Alida Bernard Perera (Philip deceased).
She is survived by her devoted children, Deborah Hofbauer (Jim), Edward Fink, Jr. (Fay deceased), and Lorraine Naquin (Joe); her cherished grandchildren, Ken, Jessica, Joseph, Camryn, Carson, and Heather; her adored great-grandchildren, Trey, Brynne, Michael, John, and Amelia; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Elra was an active member and past President of the Golden Ages of Metairie, where she formed many treasured friendships. She was a passionate New Orleans Saints and LSU fan and greatly enjoyed a good game of poker. In the final years of her life, Elra faced chronic illness with extraordinary courage, dignity, and grace, inspiring all who knew her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home and Cemeteries, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, Louisiana 70124, on Thursday, February 19, 2026. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by the Funeral Mass at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home and Cemeteries.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Elra’s memory to Community Hospice and Palliative Care, Jacksonville, Florida.
