John Carroll lived life on his own terms - bold, honest, and unapologetically himself. He told it like it was, rubbed people the wrong way one minute, and had them laughing the next, often turning first impressions into lifelong friendships. That was John - real, unfiltered, and impossible to forget.
He had a gift for bringing people together through humor, whether it was a shocking T-shirt, a bit of mischief, stories that left you shaking your head, or his infamous middle fingers. Beneath that bold personality was a man with a big heart who would do anything for anyone. If John loved you, you knew it.
He had a rare confidence many admired - the ability to live freely, without worrying about what others thought. He reminded those around him to be real and live without apology.
Above all else, John's heart belonged to his "Sexy Mama," the love of his life, his confidant, and his greatest source of happiness - though his girlfriend (his Jeep) and beloved obsession came in a close second.
He is survived by his partner, Deana Martell; his mother, Rowan Christie (Scott); his daughter, Katelin Carroll; his granddaughter, Kayden Ellis; his bonus children, Caila Martell and Charles Martell III; his siblings, Michael Carroll, Kathy Smith, and Steven Carroll; his nephew, Jacob Smith (Analysse), his niece, Hadley Smith; his great-nephew, Makoa Smith; and many dear friends. He was predeceased by his father, Michael John Carroll Sr.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his laughter, his honesty, and his fearless way of living.
