Larry Glynn McMurry

Larry was born on November 27, 1946, in Russellville, Alabama, to John and Marie McMurry. He was the second of four children. Larry grew up in Birmingham, Alabama, and graduated from Woodlawn High School. Larry went on to work for the FBI in both the Jacksonville and Atlanta offices. Larry retired from the FBI after 33 years of service. He was a knowledgeable hot rod enthusiast, huge Alabama fan and he excelled in any sport he chose to participate in from baseball to golf.

Larry is survived by his wife of 44 years, Marilynn. Sons; Shannon (Diane), Justin (Ashley), and Larry Jr. Grandchildren; Tyler (Claudia), Ryan, Cameron, Nolan, Rylan and great granddaughter, Riley. Sisters; Diann Burnett (Larry) and Jan Johnson (Greg). Many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. Larry was a devoted loving husband, wonderful father to three boys, doting grandfather (Pops) and an ever-present caring brother to his two sisters. Larry truly cherished his family and his loss is immeasurable.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Johnny.

An Honoring of Larry’s Life will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 1:00pm, at La Venture Grove, 2375 Moremen Rd., St. Johns, Fl 32259. Luncheon immediately following.
