

After high school, William enlisted in the Army, initially serving as an M1/A1 tank commander, then transitioning to a Blackhawk pilot and Chief Warrant Officer 3. He continued service to his country after a 20 year career by becoming a contractor for LSI, developing aviation courseware for future generations. Continuing his commitment to furthering his own education, he completed his Bachelors of Science in I.T. from the University of Phoenix and was working on his masters.
Beloved and cherished husband to Kaity M (Smith), proud father of Emily, Noah, Hunter, Leighton, Opal, Valarie, Vanessa, and Juliana.
Cherished son-in-law, grandson-in-law, beloved brother-in-law, fun uncle, and genuine friend to many.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at Hardage-Giddens St. Johns, 1285 St. Johns Parkway, on Saturday August 5th with a service at 11:00 a.m. with visitation to follow.
A memorial service for William will be held Saturday, August 5, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens St. Johns, 1285 St. Johns Parkway, St. Johns, FL 32259, followed by a visitation from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
