Ellie was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. John F. and Mary Patricia Gallagher; her husband, Felix T. Mackiewicz; her brothers John, Bill, Tom and Bob; her sister Patricia George; her daughter Judy Nania (Vince); her son John Mackiewicz; and a lifetime of friends to numerous to count.
Ellie is survived by her children, Mary Pat Oxenhandler (Barry), James D. Switzer (Mary Ann), and Julie A. Brumitt; her grandchildren, Kate and Jim Oxenhandler, John and Erin Switzer, Lisa Rubenstein, Lara Harris, Tony, Matt and Marissa Nania, and Andrew Brumitt; and her great grandchildren, Sarah and Claire Oxenhandler, Payton and Carson Rubenstein, Taylor and Mikaela Nania.
Services: Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 13 at Saint Louis Abbey Church, 500 South Mason Rd., Creve Coeur. Visitation Friday, April 12, 4 to 7 PM at Kriegshauser West, 9450 Olive Blvd., Olivette.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials to the St. Louis Abbey will be appreciated.
