Jane’s father and mother both emigrated from Albania in the early 1900s. They settled in St. Louis, met and married. They worked hard supporting their four daughters by owning their own restaurant.
Jane graduated from McKinley High School in St. Louis. She married and worked at the Missouri-Pacific Railroad Office until her first daughter was born. She was then a stay-at-home mom until the girls reached college age, when she returned to work at a government office in St. Louis. She has been widowed for thirty-two years.
Jane had many interests, including playing bridge, bunco and poker, attending the theatre, reading novels, and going on day trips.
