I remember how June always would find us at the mall and she would say how pretty Lindsey was and she sure who she was more like me or her Dad Michael. He told me stories of The Harris Family before I met him. I actually had a class with Bill in High School but didn't know the family back then. Then Bill was in our wedding. The Harris Family had a good time that night. She was a very sweet lady and I am glad I can call the Harris Family one of the special mutual people Mike and I knew before our marriage, during our marriage, when we lost Mike and Diane and I are still facebook friends and I usually know what is going on the family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

God love Grandma June.  We sure did.  She was the best.  Always a smile and even bigger if Dev was around.  She was simply awesome.  

Memories of my Aunt June - where do I begin?  Maybe with brownies in her backyard on Kendall Hill, or afternoons in our swimming pool on Kendall Hill - or Christmas Eve's at Grandma Ree's, etc. etc.  I remember all of our phone conversations and laughter over the years during my adulthood - especially the one where we both agreed that she should be labeled the Humphrey child as "a rebel without a cause" for standing up to her mother.  Aunt June could also be very blunt - I remember her saying to me when I told her that I was engaged - "well, I thought you were going to keep that revolving door of men going forever!"  
Oh, well, she learned to love Pat and saw that our marriage was as strong as she had with Frank.
One of my very favorite people ever!  Will love her to the moon and back always!

I just remember that Aunt June's personality seemed to elevate the mood in a room when she entered!  She seemed to have so much energy.  I almost remember that whenever there was a family get together / meal, she would always make it a point to come over to the "kids" table and make us feel included in the celebration and make us laugh!!!!

My main memory of Aunt June is her laughter.  She really seemed to enjoy life!  I remember the trip she took to California and how she got a kick out of my Dad's tour of San Francisco.

I remember when Aunt June came to visit us in California in the late 90's.  We took her to Fisherman's Wharf and strolled around.  She was having a great time viewing all the sights - then one in particular caught her eye - what could only be described as an unusual but yet typical San Francisco street person all decked out in elaborate costume.  She thought it was the funniest thing she had ever seen and couldn't stop laughing - said you would never see that in St. Louis!  I think we took a picture and sent it to Frank!

I don't have a computer, so my daughters typing this for me - but please understand that these are my words - not hers! 
I have many memories of June, but the one that I wanted to share is how honored and pleased I felt about her being a part of my wedding to her brother in 1950.
I also just want today that I take full credit for June becoming a nurse - she followed in my footsteps of going to Jewish.  Of course she earned her degree on her own, but I always thought I influenced her!!

My favorite memory of Aunt June is her wonderful laugh...when I was little (a long, long time ago), I was always happy when Aunt June was around, because I knew we were going to laugh a lot! She had a big heart to go along with her great laugh.  I love her dearly, and I'll miss her.  My heart goes out to Kathy, Mike, Julie, Jill, Bill, Diane, her grandchildren, and everyone who loved her.  She was so lucky to have you all to love her and care for her.  I am keeping you in my prayers during this very sad time....Janie



Mrs. Harris, I can easily slip back in time to the late nights spent at your house as a young girl. As the night wore on Mr. Harris, Frank, would pick you up from work and you would both arrive and bring a renewed energy with you. In spite of surely being bone tired (like your daughter Kathy often is), you were vivacious and would happily chat with two pre-teens. So many warm memories. I’ll always remember your joyful smile. You will be cherished always. 

My Aunt Junie Poonie.  I will miss your big smile & hearty laugh.  Who's going to laugh the way you did at all of my stories about "the perils of Cheryl"?  I remember when I was a young teen and you and Uncle Frank sitting at my mom's kitchen table laughing and reminiscing and I would try to sneak in and sneak upstairs to my bedroom but I never got past ya!!!  You'd follow me into my room and sit on the edge of my bed and tell me how much you loved me.   You were one of my biggest fans in this life.   I'm hardly sorry Corona kept us apart this whole time but I know you're in a better place with your husband and my mama.  

She was a wonderful mother in law you hear about people talking about their mother in laws night mares but I had the most wonderful mother in law who was my 2nd mom.i had the pleasure of taking care of her the last three months we would watch game shows and I would listen to her talk about the good old days.she said that I folded clothes good and I was her favorite daughter in law the only one she had .it was a pleasure to be a part of the last few months of her life.i will miss you mom love you with all my heart
