Barbara Jean Hubbard

ST. MARTINVILLE – Memorial funeral services will be conducted for Barbara Jean Hubbard, age 53, at 7:30 pm on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at Jenkins Memorial Baptist Church of St. Martinville. Brother Jessie Charpentier will officiate the service.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at Jenkins Memorial Baptist Church.

Ms. Hubbard passed away peacefully on Friday, December 31, 2010 at Iberia Medical Center.

Barbara was a homemaker but worked with Cajun Chef in St. Martinville and also worked with Lucky Dog in New Orleans. She had a love of football, especially the Saints, and enjoyed horse racing. She was a loving wife, sister and friend and will be missed dearly.

Survivors include her husband of 28 years, Bruce Briant of St. Martinville; sisters, Diane R. Hubbard of Harvey and Hazel H. Dautreuil of Parks; aunt, Mary Jane Wilson of Metairie; uncle, Wallace McWhirter of Georgia; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William J. Hubbard, Jr. and Anna Ruth McWhirter Hubbard; brother, William J. Hubbard, III; and Edith and Sydney Guidry, her aunt and uncle who raised her.
