We were so sorry to hear of your loss.  The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow.

To the Knight Family: About a yr ago I met up with Leonard at Joyce's. He was as I have always known him! That deep soft spoken voice was still there, the pleasure of seeing an old friend and classmate was there, a big hug was there, that smile a yard wide was there too....but above all when I asked how he was doing he asked me.. "wait.. how are you doing?" I answered doing "great thank you and thank God"..I then said ok now, "How are you, he answered as he always did.."Doing good too, but a little under the weather but I will let the Lord take care of that, you know I have been through a lot but that doesn't stop me! I come back up everytime! God is good!" Well Leonard and the Knight Family, God needed him and he will be there to serve him and watch over all of us! He will forever be on your shoulders and in your Heart! To his children I say, I can understand what you are going through because I lost my Dad when I was about yall age and my Dad was the young age of 56. Be Blessed he is still there for you like an Angel on your shoulder! My Sympathy to all of you from my Heart!

I was deeply saddened to hear of Leonard's passing.  The world is a little colder and sadder without his presence.  RIP Leonard -  Will never forget your pig roast!

Knight Family,
Leonard was always a humble soul, well liked by everyone he meant. I was fortunate to be one of his friends blessed with a special visit from him with a special book I will cherish, he was giving me support at a difficult time in his life. I hope he knew how much that visit meant to me. Leonard will always be remembered as a special person. Leonard had hope, he had faith and God  knows he had love of family and friends, now he is at peace with God and in the arms of his mother Mary. RIP my dear friend, always.

My thoughts and prayers go to Leonard Earl and his family at this time. I once bumped into Leonard Earl about 20 years ago and he remembered me like we were still in school. He was always kind and soft spoken. I'll keep him and his family in my prayers.

To the Knight Family, Leonard was a a co-worker of my for many years, He will be missed dearly. I would like to extend my deepest condolences to the Knight Family.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

Leonard was always easy to get along with. I can still remember him in the long twice a day SMHS football practices in the heat of the summer. May Faith and Hope be with his family. An old friend.  Randy Willis

My condolences to you and your entire family.  I car pooled with many people going to UL(USL) in the early 1970's and Leonard Earl was one of them.  Although I have not seen him for the past 30 years, he was a very good and kind friend.  I will keep you and your family in our thoughts an prayers.

Leonard was the sweetest person I ever met. I have many fond memories of him and the fun times we all had together.

So deeply sorry to learn of the passing of Leonard Earl.  He was such a gentle soul with such a kind spirit and such a generous heart.  Leonard was a beloved friend growing up.  He always made and shared wonderful food with the people he loved.  He enjoyed riding us around in his Jeep on the weekends.
As we grew older, I eventually moved away, but always kept up with St. Martinville friends through the Teche News.  Leonard Earl must have been so proud when his son, Jude, became Valedictorian at SMSH.
