
Arlene (Axelrod) Bloom age 92 of North Andover, MA and formerly of Marblehead passed away on August 6, 2021. She was the beloved wife of the late Milton Bloom and beloved mother of David Bloom and his wife Pamela of Hampstead, NH, Jody Fraser and her husband David of Amesbury and Peter Bloom and his wife Denise of Florida.
She was the cherished grandmother of Brittany Fraser and Kimberly Chase and her husband Benjamin. Also Lindsay and Michael Bloom. She was more recently the much loved Great grandmother of Brady Bloom Chase.
Arlene grew up in Brookline, MA and graduated from Brookline High School. Later in life after her children were grown she went back to school and completed her education earning a Masters Degree in Social Work. She spent many years as the Social Worker at Devereau Nursing Home in Marblehead working with the families and residents of the nursing home.
While living in Marblehead with her family she and Milton spent many years volunteering for the Marblehead Arts Festival especially helping with the Art Auction which was an annual event.
Arlene had a strong passion for the arts and loved museums, going to Boston Symphony and attending Boston Ballet performances. After retirement both she and Milton spent winters in Tucson, Arizona enjoying the art culture that was available there. Even at age 92 Arlene continued to follow the Boston ballet and enjoyed her classical and jazz music as well as being an avid reader.
Graveside service and internment will be on August 10th at 12:00 noon at Temple Emanu-El
